Our Fantastic Pets

Kolbi & Alastor

Kolbi is a proud and sassy tabby cat who is the light of her mother’s life. Kolbi loves lying on fleece blankets, watching birds, and tormenting Meg’s family, friends, and roommate with her capricious I-want-to-be-seen-but-not-touched demeanor. Kolbi’s best friend is her brother Alastor, a bearded dragon who likes perching in the window and eating raspberries. - Dr. Meg Matonis

Rhubarb

Rhubarb (Ru for short) is a fearful rescue who is coming out of her shell! She's learning to love cuddling and going for walks, especially if she can chase down some of those pesky neighborhood squirrels. Her joy is sparked by yogurt, playing in the snow, and her dog roommate Shanti. The greatest difficulties in her life are deciding which toy to play with and the fact that mom dares to leave the house! - Corrina Marshall

Lola

Lola (Loli-cannoli) is an international mutt of mystery. Her favorite foods are tagine, eggs, and dead fish. Lola is happiest frolicking on the beach with any willing dog, digging in the sand to find smelly treats, and squeaking her stuffed skunk 'Pepe'. Lola is as fluent as a dog can be in four languages, so good luck telling her to sit! - Jennifer Mueller

Handsome Rob

Handsome Rob (Bobert, Mr. Man) may be blind, but he still knows how handsome he looks in his tuxedo. He has a tomcat stature but a teddy bear heart and never says no to snuggles. Handsome Rob and his brother Journey (estimated 11 and 8 years old, respectively) are proud to show that FIV+ cats can live long, happy, healthy, and normal kitty lives! - Kenzie Hartt

Journey

Journey (JoBo, Mr. Bo) is a ferocious little teddy bear. At about 8 years old, he still plays like a kitten and drools anytime he gets excited. He came to us without a tail, but he doesn't let that stop him from deftly jumping on all the counters he isn't supposed to jump on. - Kenzie Hartt

Padme

Padme Amipawla (Paddycakes) is a sweet and loving malinois mix that wants to snuggle up on the couch after a long day of playing tug and fetch. She loves training games, watching her brothers, and shredding cardboard boxes. Everyone she meets tells her they adore her big ears! - Kenzie Hartt

June

June (June Bug) is rocket propelled and would happily live out the rest of her life at the dog park, if allowed. June is a fantastic mountain biking companion, swimmer, and even floats the river in an inflatable kayak on those dog days of summer! - Sean McCormick

Amelia

Amelia (Amelia Bedelia, Mimi, Meems) was rescued from a kill kennel in Missouri by pilots who flew her, her mama, and her puppy siblings to New York City. After hearing her story, my young son named her Amelia after Amelia Earhart. She’s a real talker and should have been named Scooby for her verbalizations. Known for escaping from the house to play hide and seek, Amelia loves to visit the horses down the street. Full of the devil, playful, loving, and devoted, she will prove to you every time that the Pitbull’s reputation is unfounded. – Mary MacDonald

Otis

Otis is the most mischevious munchkin. He is a master of the head tilt, and will respond to just about any sound with a curious tilt. His favorite things to eat include ear plugs, candles, shoes, and books (puppies are great). He is obsessed with his big sister, Lexi, and quite literally follows in her footsteps. - Kristin Leger

Gorbin

Gorbin is the sweetest little guy you will ever meet and is committed to defeating stigma attached to the chihuahua breed one belly rub at a time. He loves being in the spotlight, curling up next to heating vents, and pretending he is one of the big dogs. Gorbin is also proficient in sneezing himself off his own feet, cleaning hard-to-reach spaces in the kitchen, and stealing hearts. - Cary Gooding

Kelp

Expelled from guide dog school for his inability to pay attention to the task at hand, Kelp is a golden boy always in need of attention. When he is not leading the pack on a hike, he can be found leaning on anyone who will give him pats or foraging for apples and other tasty treats in the yard. - Bri Baker

Duke

Duke (AKA schmutzy boy) loves sniffing everything, playing with everyone, knocking everything over with his tail, getting grass stains on his white fur, swimming/hiking/hunting all day long, eating and burping after eating. - Leah Mathys

Kota

Kota is full bred Australian cattle dog, which means she's equal parts loyal, obsessive, and sassy. She is the center of her dad's world- but mostly because she demands nonstop attention. She's a sweetheart when you get to know her and absolutely adores cuddling. If she's not curled up next to her dad, she's likely exploring trails, climbing rocks, or getting into trouble. -Andrew Myers
